What are waterspots?

Water spots are the mineral deposits that are left behind when water droplets evaporate from a glass surface. These mineral deposits are often composed of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals that are present in tap water. Water spots can vary in size and appearance, and they can be difficult to remove if left untreated.

There are two types of water spots that can occur on glass surfaces: etched water spots and non-etched water spots. Etched water spots occur when the mineral deposits have chemically etched into the glass surface, leaving behind permanent damage that cannot be removed. Non-etched water spots, on the other hand, are superficial and can be removed with proper cleaning methods.

In summary, water spots on glass are mineral deposits that can occur on any glass surface. There are different types of water spots, and it's essential to use the proper cleaning method to remove them effectively. With the right cleaning techniques, you can restore the clarity of your glass surface and maintain its appearance.
